Not much, we say! Take a drive through Seattle’s Candy Cane Lane if you are feeling the holiday spirit in the Emerald City. One of the city’s neighborhoods has been putting on an impressive lights display since 1949. Even better, it’s one of the few Christmas displays in the city where you are allowed to drive through (holiday cheer shouldn’t come at the cost of warmth!).

Why It’s Worth a Drive to NE Park Road

The owners of these primarily Tudor-style brick homes really take their job seriously as one of the longest-standing Candy Cane Lanes in the country. As you stroll around NE Park Road, you will be guided by sidewalks lined with giant candy canes, spot a few giant gingerbread men, and be amazed at a range of inflatable holiday decorations. Again, you can take this all in by car if you fancy. The residents putting on this Candy Cane Lane in Seattle often team up to create a theme. You might notice that the Nutcracker is trending this year, or see characters from another favorite Christmas tale. Keep your eyes peeled for Santa – he often shows up on NE Park Road to hand out candy canes to good girls and boys!

Seattle Candy Cane Lane Directions

So, where is this Candy Cane Lane we speak of?
